My hometown was on the national news today. Ordinarily you might think that this would be fabulous. However, under these circumstances, it is not. I am from Clark County Ohio. The birthplace of 4-H. The home of International Harvester, hometown of John Legend and scene of a deadly shootout yesterday that left a high school classmate and friend dead.
Suzanne Hopper was a Deputy for the Clark County Sheriff's department for 12 years. She was a former Officer of the Year. She had letters and commendations filling her file. She was fabulous at her job. I just read something from her parents stating the Suzanne died doing what she loved. She went to work every day knowing her life could be on the line, and yesterday some dirt bag decided it was his to take.
This news brings up so many feelings, but mainly reinforces the notion that you MUST live as fabulously as humanly possible in what short time we may have on Mother Earth. Don't waste time on average, or "OK for now". There is no time to waste. Let's build this foundation and move onward and upward!
Here's to Suzanne!! One of Heaven's most FABULOUS Angels!! Tonight I will raise a glass of GOOD champagne, that I had been saving, in your honor.
Fabulously Yours,
Dawn
